WBL Opportunities - Add a paid upgrade option (subdomain) that allows more control and management options

If an organization choose to upgrade to the paid option, they will have their own subdomain that will give them the following capabilities.

  • Subdomain Admins can manage Schools and users of those schools (define SIS Integration options and SSO options).

  • School Admins will receive a notification when a new employer registers from the subdomain (based on location and/or selecting a specific school to work with).

  • School Admins will be able to approve or deny all employer registrations.

  • School Admins will be able to approve or deny employer job postings.

  • Schools will have a setting to limit which WBL opportunity types are shown as options.

  • Subdomain Admins will be able to brand their subdomain’s site.

  • Employers can potentially upload documents (clearances, worker’s compensation & liability insurance, etc.).

  • Schools will be able to directly enter employers and opportunities for any employer.

  • Students can upload or build a resume.

  • Student accounts will need to be marked as eligible before they can apply for opportunities. Ideally, school officials would review the student’s information/resume and approve them afterward.

  • To comply with FERPA, gather parental consent before allowing student data to be shared with employers.

  • When a student applies for an opportunity, log that in the application and allow admins and employers to view applications.

  • Allow employers to mark that a student was hired for a position.

  • Allow teachers to view data for their students.

  • Allow multiple employer contacts per employer. Potentially allow existing contact person to invite others at the company to create an account.

  • Allow students to mark their favorite opportunities to follow up with later.

  • Eventually, allow employers to search for approved students that might make good applicants and to reach out to them.

  • Create a landing page for the subdomain where announcements can be posted from the Subdomain Admins.

  • Optionally, allow students to rate employers after an experience is over and vice versa for employers rating students. (simple 5-star rating with comments).

  • Allow teachers/admins to search for employers that have expressed interest in certain types of WBL opportunities (like guest speakers, etc.) and filter by career cluster/industry.

  • Allow export of all data.

“Schools will be able to directly enter employers and opportunities for any employer”

To pull this off, the school should be able to create a new opportunity in Jobready WBL and provide all information that an employer would need to provide if they were registering an account in WBL Opp (minus password). We then send an email to the employer to ask them to claim the business and make a login for them to manage their account in WBL Opp. Schools can add opportunities on behalf of that employer that are visible in their instance of Jobready but the opportunity won’t be shown in WBL Opp unless the employer claims the business and approves the opportunity added by the school which will then make it available as if the employer added it themselves.
