In OneRoster 1.2, userMasterIdentifier has been added. Some schools are using this for state ID numbers. Version 1.1+ also has an array of userIds with a user-customized type assigned to each.
In either case, it might be best to have settings to manage how these fields are mapped from the SIS data to our application during the sync. For instance, in SIS settings there could be settings like this.
