This does not seem to be a priority with Select2. We can keep an eye on it but using something other than select2 is not an option to keep the system uniform.

While trying to come up with a solution to “hack” the native way that select2 project works, we realized there is no way to combat this issue without the help of the repository owner. In the meantime, I’ve increased the results per page for that drop down to minimize the number of users that will hit the issue.
