Create a user level between WBK Observer and WBL Coordinator

So this new role would not be able to create or delete or archive student experiences. Their primary role would be to complete time sheets and evaluations. A little like what employers would do.....but these are internal folks. This is for my students with special needs who can't work independently. So the employers don't evaluate them and they don't complete their time sheets/schedules. My job coaches complete daily, monthly and end of semester evaluations and complete the schedules/time sheets for the students. The job coaches also complete a workplace safety "walk-through" with students 2x per semester.

    The problem is where the buck stops. Every person may have a little bit different of a process and we can’t have a million roles. If you have users deleting other users experiences, we can tell you who’s doing it so you can reprimand. If we determine that there are more people needing an intermediary role, we will re-evaluate.

      I can appreciate what you’re saying about he not creating a million roles.

      But the problem here is that there is a significant gap between and observer who can’t really do “anything” other than see information and a Coordinator who can do pretty much any Work-based learning function. For instance, now I’ve got someone who is creating “job shadow” events - that are not even job shadow events and then archiving them. He’s apparently “testing” things out and because he has so much access he’s making things that he shouldn’t. I have told him to just go into and access the things I’ve instructed him to do - like scheduling hours and completing the evaluations - etc. I need him to do those things - but not all these other things randomly. Here’s a screen shot of a “job shadow” event that he created for the High School Kitchen - which is not a job shadow event. Rather it’s the Internal STW job that his student is assigned to in the GHS Kitchen.

      I’m trying to be able to use your system to do my end of year WBL reporting and Job Shadow reporting - I’m actually trying to figure that whole process out right now with a few different job shadow that are actual real events. And I need to be able report all these items by grade level and gender and type of experience. If the data is wrong it makes using the system for these purposes in accurate and defeats the benefits that are possible.

      I’d also like the whole school to start being able to use the system for Volunteer Experiences - again to automate the process and reporting. But they need to be accurate and if anyone can “create” or delete/archive these items they could be done erroneously and erode the integrity of the reporting.

      If you’d like to discuss this in more detail - I’d be happy to do so. And I do understand your perspective. But from my perspective the more users which such broad ranging access, the less likely that we can rely on the integrity of the data.
