Bulk Asset Entry and/or Clone Tool for Asset Management

I want a "Bulk Asset Entry" or "Clone" tool in Asset Management. This would allow me to easily enter multiple similar items (like 29 impact drivers) at once while still being able to track each one individually, note if a specific one breaks, and record when they are replaced.

This would be a huge time saver. I would add both features (cloning and bulk entry). Cloning would be helpful to add another item as needed. This should simply bring up the New Item model with the fields prefilled based on the item being cloned.

Without these features, it is a real chore to enter multiple items of the same product type.

Bulk entry would be very important when you purchase new items. Instead of making a separate bulk entry interface, just change the New Item modal to prompt for a starting asset number and a quantity (default quantity to 1). If quantity is 2 or more, the starting asset number would be iterated for each item added, with all of the other details kept the same.

If the Asset Number is left blank and the default “item1” pattern is used, use that same mechanism and increment the next available asset number.
