Allow students to create WBL events that are not tied to a WBL type
Students may have attended a job fair not hosted by the school or scheduled their own job shadow or set up an interview to potentially have an internship. These don’t fall under the WBL types that are configured by the school but the student will be required to select a generic WBL type for reporting purposes. These should require approval by WBL coordinators.

This is needed for students to be able to self-report community service hours. This is one of the Post-Secondary Assets (PSA) tracked by the state of Kansas for graduation requirements.

These can be seen on the student’s profile and in all reporting under another category. When the first one is approved, add a standard tab for this category so all can be viewed. “Student-Reported Events”

For instance, a student should be able to let you as a Coordinator know that they scheduled a Job Shadow with Contact A at Company X to occur on X date.
Another option would be to let you know that they scheduled an interview with Contact B at Company Y to occur on X date for an Internship or Co-Op experience. There is currently no way to track if an interview is scheduled so that could be beneficial. If accepted/hired, the student could then propose an experience with all of the details of the position and the Coordinator could accept it.
This same mechanism could be used for the students to report on any WBL Events that they participated in that may or may not have been tracked by their teachers from the past.
