This was completed by piggy-backing off of the communication system we already have in place for communicating with employer contacts. By doing it this way, the school will always have a record of any communication that occurs between students and employers in case they send something inappropriate. When the student views the employer list, they can now click on the action buttons and see “Contacts” as an option. Clicking that will bring up a list of contacts just like you would see them except we have hidden the email and phone number columns so they cannot be contacted directly. Clicking the action button from there will give them the “Messages” option but they will only be able to see correspondence that includes them. We will be making a knowledge base article to give to students so they know how to use this feature.
