Ability to use data fields in emails

Example: When sending an email to multiple employers using the “Send Employer Communication”, it would be nice to start the email with “Dear [Employer_firstname],”. This is just one example. I’m sure there are many other uses to be able to input data fields into the emails. Thanks!
